When the transformer is used in communication lines, such as telephone lines, it is necessary to add the capacitor element isolating DC. If the DC current passes through the coil of the transformer, magnetic saturation will be caused, which will make it lose the original technical index. At the same time, the DC impedance of the transformer winding is also very low, which will affect the state of the communication line. For common telephone line applications, consider adding a capacitor with a capacity of not less than 1uF and a voltage tolerance of not less than 63V. Do not use polar electrolytic capacitor components if the DC polarity of the circuit is not confirmed. If you are using a power amplifier such as the LM386 to drive the transformer, consider adding a 600-2K ohm resistor along with back-to-back 4.7V regulator tubes to its windings to avoid overvoltage damage
